What is the Vaad?
The Vaad Harabonim of MetroWest was founded over 30 years ago to unite the local Orthodox rabbis who shared a vision of a Jewish community devoted to Shemiras Hamitzvos, Mitzvah observance. Since then the Vaad has grown to serve the many Jewish communities in the MetroWest, NJ region including Livingston, Short Hills, Springfield, and West Orange. The Vaad certifies a growing number of kosher establishments in the area and meets regularly to jointly work on issues that are important to the entire Jewish community. The Vaad is a not-for-profit organization with its Member Rabonim serving on a voluntary basis.
